Our Work

Below are some examples of projects James Gisborne Ltd have completed over the last few years. Our projects range from a large multi-extension to a farm house in Leigh to the construction of a bespoke shepherds hut.

Keep an eye out for the latest project completion that includes a full internal renovation of a listed Coach House in Trent and a new bespoke Kitchen / Diner extension to an impressive Georgian Town House in Sherborne.

Modern Extension to Georgian Townhouse

We are pleased to show the extension we have been involved in to a wonderful Georgian home in Sherborne. A modern single storey extension, built to a very high specification that links the Townhouse to the Coach House to the rear of the property.

This project is nearing completion now with the sandstone patio and wall being built to finish the outside of the property.

Take down old stone wall and re-build

We had to safely remove the old wall and keep all the stone. We then dug proper footings and rebuilt the wall using the original stone.

Large Farmhouse Extension and Renovation

This project outside Sherborne was the full renovation of an existing farmhouse long with three large two story extensions that doubled the properties square footage.

A fun and rewarding project that saw an amazing transformation.

Bespoke Bathroom Installation

This bathroom installation is still in progress but is nearly finished. A bespoke design and build, including marble tops over the sinks and bath, bespoke lighting and complex tiling. This project has been a fun build, working closely with the customer to ensure their vision is completed successfully.

Utility and Downstairs WC Renovation

This project was turning a tired utility and store room into a fresh and light utility room, with a new external door, new toilet and new porch. A really nice project for a great customer.

Bespoke Glass Room Extension

A highly detailed project on a historically important house in Sherborne. This rear extension included wonderfully skillful joinery work on the oak frame and bespoke corner bi-folds. A project with no rear access, which we are very proud of the end results.

Bespoke Stables

This new stable block included three stables, tack room, machinery garage and courtyard. Finished to a high standard whilst working closely with the client to achieve the desired finish.

Full Rebuild and Refurbishment.

This large rebuild project involved specialist stone mason work and a complete rebuild both externally and internally. A wonder project and end result that we are very proud of.
